Midlands Asset Finance expands further north with appointment of new senior BDM

Independent financial services broker Midlands Asset Finance (MAF) has bolstered its presence in Manchester and the north east of England by appointing a new Senior Business Development Manager in the region.

Andy Keal has joined the firm on the back of a long and successful career in the property sector with Yorkshire Bank, National Australia Bank and the Bank of Ireland. He has been tasked with growing MAF’s client base in Manchester and the north east.

His appointment continues MAF’s expansion in 2017 and he becomes the 21st member of staff employed by the firm, which is based off junction 28 of the M1.

He was appointed as part of the firm’s ongoing strategy to support clients in securing up to 100% leverage for development funding, specifically in the student and residential property markets.

Andy lives in Knaresborough, near Harrogate, and is married with two children. In his spare time, he enjoys music and coaches boys’ and girls’ football.

He said: “I’m delighted to be joining the team at MAF at this exciting time and I’m really looking forward to growing its presence across the north east and north west by supporting businesses in achieving their growth ambitions.

“Midlands Asset Finance has built an excellent reputation for its flexible and professional approach in handling often complex finance transactions on behalf of clients and I’m looking to replicate that success with businesses along and beyond the M62 corridor.”

MAF Director Dave Chapman said: “I’m delighted that Andy has joined the team at Midlands Asset Finance.

“With his expertise in the student market and experience in assisting larger corporate clients across the wider sector, Andy is exactly who we need as we look to continue to grow our team.

“Having spent many years structuring and delivering property transactions for mainstream banks, Andy has a wealth of knowledge in property finance, and we are looking forward to utilising this to assist as many businesses and operators as possible.

“We’ve done this successfully in our core Midlands operating area and we are looking to adopt this approach in the north, where we have an existing customer base and growth potential, by offering a personalised professional service to each business we engage with”.
